Night 1 – Turkey Drive 2017
The first night of giving out turkeys was a success! We gave out 151 turkeys in North Tulsa. It was such a blessing for so many. We got to hear so many stories and pray for so many in need. We take so much for granted in this life. We are so blessed. There are so many life stories we heard and prayer needs that were shared, yet I wish to share one that was quite overwhelming. We met a young lady (24) who just just 3 months ago lost her 13 month old boy in a apartment fire. She was severely burned herself. So heartbreaking. This was her only child. She wanted to show me the burns as she wept. She is scheduled for surgery again this morning. She was completely broken over this trial in life. Her mother was with her. We were able to explain the HOPE of Jesus Christ in spending eternity with him. The HOPE of the heavens where there is no more sorrow, death, sickness, hurting, cancer and death. The HOPE of rejoicing again forevermore with this 13 month old little boy. What a glorious day that will be! Please pray for them (Brittany, and her mom (Ginger). Pray for their salvation. Pray for them as they continue to battle through this storm in life. May the Lord bless you! Thank you to all who have donated to make this night a reality.
