We Believe
We believe by faith:
1) All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
2) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23)
3) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).
4) For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13)
How do I experience new life in Christ?
One of the most wonderful truths about God is that He desires to be known personally by all human beings. He has not left us on a deserted island to fend for ourselves. He has given us His word, and His word is truth (John17:17). God’s Word attests to the fact that we all fall short of God’s standard for life: we all have sinned, and we all will continue to sin (Romans 3:23). The basic definition of sin is anything that does not bring glory to God. God says that the wages of sin is death but his gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord (Romans 6:23). As with any gift, we can either accept it or we can reject it. A decision must be made. God is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). To repent means to acknowledge and show remorse about our sin.
Jesus Christ walked this earth like you and me, but He did not sin. He was perfect in all of his ways, for He was Himself God. Jesus was born to be the sufficient sacrifice for the sin of all mankind. He was crucified for the sins of mankind. Christ was and is the sacrificial lamb without blemish or defect (I Peter 1:9). He willingly gave his life for you and for me: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). In ourselves we are nothing. The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing (John 6:63).
Jesus Christ is in the business of giving new life. He gives you a clean slate. He sees you as perfect when you accept him, the old is gone and all is made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you confess Him as your Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). To make Jesus your Lord means admitting that you are a sinner and that you need Him. He promises to give you new life, not only here on earth, but forever in eternity. Today, if you hear his voice calling you, you must not harden your hearts (Hebrews 3:15). As you well know, we are not guaranteed tomorrow; our life can end in an instant. It is our prayer that you accept the gift of Jesus today and make Him Lord of your life. He gave his life, his perfect sinless life, for you that you would have the opportunity to live with Him in glory forever.
May God bless you in your new journey with God.
