One Year Clean
Last night on the bus was incredible. We grabbed the pizzas and hit the streets. The first guy we picked up has one year clean off of fentanyl. We were able to drop him off at a local AA meeting. He was very thankful for the ride, pizza, and prayer. As we dropped him off, We were greeted by an all female mariachi band. Quite impressive!!! Next, we went down Admiral. There were a few people out on the streets. It began to get pretty cold. We ended up parked in front of a car wash for the rest of the evening. There was a mother and her two adult children living behind the car wash. They makeshift tent like structure in the corner of the building. They are all strung out on drugs. We spent a majority of the evening talking with her 33-year-old son. His name was Jake. He started drugs, eight years ago. Before that he didn’t even drink alcohol or anything whatsoever. He explained that he was working at the Doubletree hotel and one of his co-workers offered him some drugs and has been hooked since that’s day. He began to get quite emotional when talking about his life. We were able to share the Gospel with him at length. He says he is going to call us. He says he wants to change his life. Will you please pray for Jake as well as all of the others we met last night..Please pray for Jake’s family as well. Generational sin is a real thing. The cycle can be broken by the power of the Gospel. The Lord can do it. Please pray for all of the others we met last night on the streets. Please pray as the weather gets colder that these people would seek shelter. HE REIGNS! Getoutofthebus.org
