Living in a Hotel
How the Lord works! The bus was great. We were joined by new people serving with us. Young adults ! One of them (Tim) got saved two weeks ago ! He was so thankful for his new life in Christ!! It was powerful to see him ministering to those less fortunate. We headed towards 11th street and picked up a gentleman named, Daniel. He was 32 years old. He has been living in a hotel for 3 weeks. He is ex-military. What are the chances of picking him up on the bus .. while we have Military Career counselor riding with us??? He has already called us wanting to reenlist. She is discussing options with him. Next, we met up with the two brothers (Javier and Chris from 3 weeks ago), both are addicts and homeless. Chris got a job recently and was excited to share this news! They still need to make life changing decisions…we know the Lord is working! Keep praying for them! We continued on last night. It seems that the bus routes on 11th were not working. No buses in sight anywhere. We ended up taking numerous folks home. They were so thankful. Lots of folks were fed spiritually and physically. Lots of bibles and hygiene packs were given away. We met a lady on the streets, she had 9 children. She has lost ALL of them. This is how God works again.. two of her older children have been pretty much adopted by a local church in our area. Some of these church members were with us last night. They recognized the mom’s name! These two adult children (along with their young children) have been to their house! Small world. Small community. We never know who we will see on the streets. Finally, we met up with a young lady (Julie) who was working on the Streets. Our ladies were able to pour truth into her life. She says she is going to contact us for resources to come off the streets. Pray for her as well as all the others we met. The Lord can do mighty Things. HE is mighty to SAVE!
