Lifegate Freedom Recovery Ranch
We went to Lifegate Freedom Recovery Ranch in Sapulpa last night. The Lord showed up like HE always does. They now have 45 men staying there. Each of these men have unique stories. One thing that stood out last night is the word “complacency”. A few of these guys had been in the program previously and some of them have even went five years being sober. Yet, they got complacent. They got comfortable. They put confidence in their flesh versus the Holy Spirit. The result is always catastrophic! Sin is never satisfied. It’s pleasurable for a season. Yet, there are four seasons. It will create destruction Every. Single. Time. It will roll into every season of life. Sin leaves behind so much collateral damage. There are men out there who have lost great jobs, their freedom, their family, their pets, and the list goes on. Yet, they have so much to be thankful for! First and foremost they have another chance at life! The Lord is doing a mighty work in so many lives at Lifegate. Hearing the men speak in the Chapel is so encouraging! There is Freedom in Christ! One gentleman is going to graduate the program soon, and he plans to stay to help the men there! Powerful! Finding purpose! When you are serving others you will always get more than you give! It is satisfying to your soul! It will not leave you empty. Christ must be on the forefront of this walk in being a true Christ Follower! He must be woven into the fabric of our lives! Please pray for all of the men we met last night. Please pray for the ones that do not know Christ to know him personally. Please pray for the ones that are struggling. Please pray that they would not take the enemies bait. Please pray that they would constantly humble themselves before the Lord. Please pray that they would put no confidence in their flesh.
