Walking Home from Football Practice
How the Lord works! We went out on the bus last night and amazing things happened! We met up with the same teenager who we met last week. His name is Jeremiah. He was walking home from football practice again. Our team was able to continue to build a relationship with him. He ate lots of pizza. Next, we met Thomas. He is 21 years old, and has been on the streets for 3 years. HE struggles with Meth. We gave him options. He has decisions to make. Please pray for him! We met James as well. He was very nice. He has been on the streets for a few years. He knows Jesus. Yet, he struggles. We were able to pray with him and encourage him. The highlight of the night was Matthew coming to find us! He had noticed the bus and had some great news to share with us. We ministered to him about six weeks ago. He was struggling to get his Social Security lined out. He had 2 weeks clean off meth at the time. He had been on the streets for years. Well he told us that the day after we prayed with him he got his Social Security check. He has now been off the streets for six weeks and has a place to stay. He now has 2 months of sobriety!! Matthew has quite a testimony. He used to teach a Sunday school class back in 2004. Life has took lots of twists and turns since then. However, he is on the right track again. He was very thankful. He wanted to share the great news with us. Matthew is in need of a few things. He needs a small refrigerator (dorm size). He also needs a microwave. If anyone has any of those items please message us. We will pick them up today. Thanks in advance. Tonight was a perfect example of how God works! We just plant seeds! HE gives the increase! Please pray for all of the people we ministered to last night. Please pray for the ones that need to be saved to be saved. Please pray for the others that need to surrender their drug addiction to HIM! The Lord is so faithful ! Jeremiah, James, Thomas, and Matthew! All biblical names we met up with last night! The Lord did that!
