No, I’m Not Homeless
It was a little chilly on the bus last night. We are thankful for generators and large heaters. The Lord sent us a few homeless people and some other folks to minister to. We met a guy named Johnny who has been off meth for 6 weeks. He has 5 daughters. His oldest (29) just passed away 3 weeks ago. We were able to pray with him and encourage him with God’s truth, and give him plenty of items to stay warm. We met another guy named Charlie, who was homeless. We kept asking him what he needs, and he kept saying he does not need anything. When asked if he was homeless, he says “no, I live in a tent”. True Story! The teenagers who we minister to every week came out with us, they were excited to tell us how their grades are improving (we gave them a challenge). One of the teens without saying anything hands me his report card! All good grades except for language arts. It is awesome to see the Lord working in their lives. These teens will get a diploma, it is going to to happen!! No one in their families have made it past the 9th grade! We ended the night at one of the teens house and were able to talk and pray with the family. The Lord is so faithful, even with a 4 degree wind chill! Bless you!
