18 months
Very touching night on the bus. Rhonda, who serves with us has 18 months of sobriety. Her story is quite unique, she had been serving with us every week and at the same time she was hiding her alcohol problem. She made a commitment to get Sober along with Shawn (who was saved back on 8-25-16 on the Bus). She surrendered the alcohol to the Lord that night! She has been clean ever since. She brought lots of crocheting stuff to teach a teenager (Katelyn) who we minister to. Pretty cool watching them build a relationship and learn crocheting. It was awesome to see another teenager (Simon) Ministering to people. God will use teenagers for HIS glory! We met multiple folks who were in tough spots in life. The Lord sent us a nice married couple who were walking home from the store. Someone had just drove by them and splashed them. They were thankful for a ride and prayer. We met a gentlemen who just got out of the hospital, and didn’t have a ride home. He was a biker and trying to get his life in order. He explained that he had just prayed for someone to help him! That’s how the Lord works! We had to get him a Uber home because the bus was leaking serious amounts of water. Thankful for Quicktrip and their large buckets of water to fill up the bus. We did not see one homeless person on the streets last night. Thankful for the Lord sending people in HIS perfect timing. (Attached is Rhonda’s and Shawn’s sobriety dates). That rock is Rhonda’s reminder of some dates she will never forget. The Lord never fails!
