Sin does not Discriminate!
Posted in General
- Powerful night on the bus! Sin does not discriminate. It will destroy lives no matter who you are. We encountered a former OU basketball star who was strung out on dope. He told us to google him, and sure enough there he was. Sad. We were able to pray with him. A few minutes later a gentleman was hit by a car. They hauled him off in an ambulance. The night got more interesting, when another gentlemen pulled up on his bicycle blaring Biz Markie! The highlight tonight was meeting a man named “Marvin”, he is 39 years old with 3 children (21, 14, 12). He was a drug dealer pretty much is whole life, and 3 years ago he became a full blown addict himself. He was very genuine and honest about his life. He explained that he got saved around Easter last year at Life Church. We went through the scriptures with him explaining to him that he must deny his sinful nature and bring his burdens to Christ. He must walk in the spirit (Gal 5:16). It is at this point when one can beat the temptation to sin (1 Cor 10:13). He wept as we prayed for him. We gave him lots of options to get him the help he needs. We gave him hygiene products, clothing, and other items to keep warm. Please pray for all of the these folks, along with the many prostitutes who we have been trying to get off the streets. It’s a sad situation, but the story does not end there. We have seen God to the miraculous, in saving prostitutes along with many others. This is why we press on! Thankful to have two Mormon gentlemen with us tonight. They were curious about the ministry, so we invited them out with us. Thankful to have a former Mormon church member with us as well. He was able to share what God did and is doing in his life with them! He is suppose to take them to lunch in the future. God is at work and is so faithful. Thankful for all who served tonight. Thankful for folks who simply want to love people and watch lives get transformed by the power of the Gospel! There is no greater joy than serving Jesus. We need more bibles and blankets! Thanks in advance. Bless You!
