Thank you, Arrow Heights students!
Great night on the bus. We had the youth from AHBC with us. We went through 20 pizzas, lots of homeless folks were fed physically and more important spiritually. We picked up a gentlemen named Michael. He had just got himself his liquor for the night. He told us that this was another intervention in his life. He was sitting on a curb talking on his phone with his mother. He was hesitant on going with us, I spoke with his mom to encourage him to go. She was thankful and told him to get on the bus! It’s amazing the people God sets up divine appointments with. We encountered a fraternal twin named Jamar, his brothers name was Jamil. They are both homeless, what are the chances of encountering twins who are homeless??? We had the opportunity to pray with many others. We encountered Dwayne again, he is a great guy, who is doing well, he had previously been homeless for 23 years. He has now had the same apartment for 6 years. He spoke to us on “thankfulness”, he explained how thankful he is just to have the littlest things in life. He spoke of God’s faithfulness. It was very humbling to say the least. We take so much for granted in our cozy lives. I am personally thankful for the Arrow Heights youth coming out tonight, as well for new folks who came out to serve tonight. It was a great night. God is so faithful. Bless you.
