New Year’s Eve Ministry
We had a great night last night on News Years Eve. We picked up several folks and ate lots of pizza! We even went through a DUI checkpoint, and gave them a nice honk in the bus. One of the guys had been homeless for 22 years until recently, and he told us many stories about his life on the street (having been shot, stabbed, and beaten numerous times). He recently got an apartment of his own, and was very thankful. We also picked up a guy I actually knew, named Sean. He gave his life to Jesus about five months ago, and he was sober for most of the time since. However, he recently relapsed into his pattern of alcoholism, and is now broke, jobless, and homeless. Sin is always destructive and will leave you empty. Please pray for Sean as he starts the uphill battle of getting his life back in order. God will see him through the struggle; pray for him to be obedient to God’s word and His calling on his life. As always, thank you for your prayers and support, and feel free to join us every Thursday night as we minister to the community. You will receive a blessing if you do. God is great and mighty to save!
